FAQs

Terra Rosa Home Care LLC

Choosing home care support, especially during a transition home from the hospital or rehabilitation, often comes with many questions. At Terra Rosa Homecare LLC, we believe in transparency and providing clear information to help you make the best decision for your family. Below are answers to some common questions about our specialized services. Contact us today for more information!

  • What specific areas within the East Valley do you serve?

Terra Rosa Home Care proudly serves families in Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Sun Lakes, Fountain Hills, Apache Junction, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, and many surrounding East Valley communities. As a locally based Mesa agency, we have a deep understanding of these neighborhoods. Please call us directly at (480) 269-0331 to confirm service availability for your specific address and discuss your needs.

  • Are your caregivers W-2 employees or independent contractors, and what does that mean for me and my family?

All our caregivers are W-2 employees of Terra Rosa Home Care. This is a crucial distinction that directly benefits your family. It means they are thoroughly screened (including comprehensive local and national background checks and drug testing), insured by us (covering worker's compensation and professional liability), bonded for your protection, and receive ongoing professional training directly from our agency. For your family, this model ensures higher accountability, greater reliability, consistent service quality, and complete peace of mind knowing that all employment responsibilities, including payroll taxes and legal compliance, are professionally handled by us.

  • How do you ensure a good match between my loved one and their caregiver? What if it's not a good fit?

We utilize our comprehensive "TerraRosa Perfect Match Program™." This highly personalized process begins with an in-depth, complimentary consultation where our founders, Robert or Priscilla, take the time to understand not just your loved one’s specific care needs, but also their daily routines, personality, hobbies, cultural background, and any particular preferences they may have. We then carefully match these details with our caregivers' skills, relevant experience (including specialized training), and temperament. Whenever feasible, we arrange an introductory meeting between your family, your loved one, and the proposed caregiver before services commence. We also stand by our "TerraRosa Perfect Match & Compatibility Guarantee™" – if, for any reason, the initial match isn't the perfect fit after the first three shifts, those shifts are complimentary while we diligently work with you to find a more suitable caregiver who meets your expectations.

  • What are your hourly rates, and are there any minimum service hours or other fees I should be aware of?

Our value-based service packages are designed to provide comprehensive care. The "TerraRosa Essential Companion Care™" starts at $48.00/hour. Our "TerraRosa Peace of Mind Plus™" is $51.00/hr, and the "TerraRosa Total Wellbeing & Family Relief™" is $55.00/hr. We typically have a 2-hour minimum visit for most hourly services to ensure meaningful engagement. Our Per Diem rate for 16-24 hours of continuous care is $1,100. Separately scheduled Client Wellness Checks by a Care Coordinator are $75 per visit. The initial comprehensive In-Depth Care Plan Assessment (a $130 value) is included when you begin services with one of our packages. We offer a complimentary, no-obligation in-home consultation to discuss your specific needs and provide a transparent, detailed quote with no hidden fees.

  • My parent has Alzheimer's disease. Do you have caregivers specifically trained and experienced in dementia care?

Yes, absolutely. Supporting individuals with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia is a core part of our mission. Our "TerraRosa Connections™ Dementia & Alzheimer's Care" expertise is integrated into our service packages, particularly the "Peace of Mind Plus" and "Total Wellbeing" tiers. Our caregivers receive specialized, ongoing training in person-centered dementia care techniques. This includes effective communication strategies for individuals with memory loss, methods for managing behavioral changes with empathy and patience, and creating safe, structured, and engaging environments. We work closely with families to understand their loved one's unique journey and preferences to provide the most supportive care possible.

  • What is your protocol if our regularly scheduled caregiver calls out sick or has an emergency?

Our "TerraRosa Reliability Promise™" directly addresses this concern. Because all our caregivers are W-2 employees, we manage scheduling centrally and have robust backup protocols in place. In the rare event a scheduled caregiver is unexpectedly unavailable, we will notify you immediately and make every effort to provide a qualified replacement caregiver from our trained Terra Rosa team, ideally someone who may already be familiar with your loved one as a secondary caregiver. If we are unable to provide a suitable replacement for a confirmed shift, that shift will be provided free of charge. We also maintain 24/7 on-call support for urgent situations to ensure continuous peace of mind for your family.

  • What types of payment does Terra Rosa Home Care accept for services?

We strive to make payment as convenient as possible. We accept Private Pay (including personal checks, all major credit/debit cards – Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover – and ACH electronic bank transfers). We also have considerable experience working with Long-Term Care Insurance policies and can proactively assist your family with understanding your benefits, verifying coverage, and processing the necessary documentation for claims. Additionally, for eligible individuals, we can provide guidance and support for families exploring options related to AHCCCS/ALTCS (Arizona's Medicaid program) and Veterans Affairs (VA) Benefits.

  • How is the initial care plan for my loved one developed?

The foundation of every client relationship at Terra Rosa is our complimentary "East Valley Senior Well-being" Consultation. This comprehensive meeting includes our "In-Depth Care Plan Assessment" (a $130 value, which is integrated into your service package when you begin care). During this important session, our founders (Robert or Priscilla) will meet with you and your loved one, in the comfort of your home, to thoroughly discuss all aspects of their needs – physical, cognitive, emotional, and social – as well as preferences, daily routines, specific goals for care, and the home environment. This detailed information allows us to create a "Personalized Care Blueprint" that serves as the roadmap for our services, ensuring care is perfectly tailored from day one.

  • How often are care plans reviewed or updated to reflect changing needs?

We understand that care needs are often dynamic and can change over time. Therefore, care plans are not static documents. We conduct regular informal reviews through ongoing communication with you and our caregivers. More formal reassessments are conducted periodically, especially if there's a noticeable change in your loved one's health status or functional abilities. Our "Client Wellness Checks" ($75/visit, or often included as part of our higher-tier service packages) also serve as a valuable opportunity for professional review and adjustment by our Care Coordinators. Open and continuous communication with your family is paramount to ensuring the care plan always meets current requirements and continues to support your loved one effectively.

  • There are many home care agencies in the Mesa area. What truly makes Terra Rosa Home Care different?

The Terra Rosa difference is rooted in our unwavering commitment to providing genuine "Ultimate Peace of Mind." This is achieved through our direct Founder Involvement (Robert Dixon and Priscilla Marley are personally invested in your family's care), our unique Client-Centric Guarantees (like the Perfect Match™ & Reliability Promise™), our status as a Truly Local Mesa Agency with deep East Valley roots, and our Integrated Specialized Care Programs delivered by our dedicated, professional W-2 employee caregivers who receive ongoing, advanced training.
